Amy L. Schultheiss, age 52, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 at the Elwood Care Center, in Elwood, Nebraska. She was born on March 30, 1960 at Cozad Nebraska to Myron and Glennis (Gruber) Schultheiss.  

Amy attended school at the Nebraska State Trainable School until its closure, she then moved to Oxford where she was part of the work program.  Later on she moved to Kearney and worked at Baldwin Filters where many friends were made with her cheerful ways.  She was a life long participant in ARC and Special Olympics and enjoyed any sports activities she participated in and loved showing you her medals.  She was a confirmed member of St. John Lutheran Church at Eustis, Nebraska.

 

She was preceded in death by her father Myron Schultheiss.

 

Survivors include mother Glennis Thies and her husband Richard of Elm Creek, Nebraska

                                    Brother: Tony (Jeri) Schultheiss of Eustis, Nebraska

                                    Sister: Debbie (Tony) Janus of Eustis, Nebraska

and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends whom she was known to always greet with big hugs.

There will be no viewing or visitation as cremation was chosen. Memorial services will be Monday, April 23, 2012 at 1 PM at the Elwood Funeral Home, in Elwood, Nebraska with Rev. Kenton Birtell, officiating. Private family inurnment will follow at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, in Maxwell, Nebraska. Elwood Funeral Home of Elwood, Nebraska is in charge of the services
