Aline Opal Beck, age 87, of Elwood, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at Elwood Care Center in Elwood, Nebraska. She was born on March 13, 1920 at Lexington, Nebraska to Warren & Gertrude (Mowry) Seaman.

She grew up in the Lexington, Nebraska area and graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 1937. She married W. Art Beck on March 24, 1940 in Lexington, Nebraska. They moved to Elwood, Nebraska in 1953. She helped out at “Beck Implement” which was the family business. They later would farm northeast of Elwood, Nebraska. She was baptized at the United Methodist Church in Elwood, Nebraska on March 13, 1960. While her boys were young, she served as Cub Scout leader and Sunday school teacher. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Elwood, Nebraska. In January of 2008, after suffering a stroke she moved to the Elwood Care Center, in Elwood, Nebraska.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband W. Art Beck, granddaughter Theresa, and brother Glen Seaman.

She is survived by her sons: Steve & wife Virginia Beck of Broken Bow, Nebraska

                                              Jay & wife Kathy Beck of Elwood, Nebraska

                                              Gary Beck of Elwood, Nebraska

Grandchildren:  10               Great-Grandchildren: 17

Brother-In-Laws: Harold Sorenson of Lexington, Nebraska

Memorial services will be Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11 AM at the United Methodist Church, in Elwood, Nebraska with Pastor Connie Karr, officiating. Memorials are suggested to the Elwood Public Library. Elwood Funeral Home of Elwood, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
