Lowell Victor Hansen, age 83, of Brush, Colorado, formerly of Boulder, Colorado, died Monday, January 21, 2008 at Eben Ezer Skilled Nursing Center, at Brush, Colorado. He was born on December 25, 1924 at Elwood, Nebraska to Otto & Elizabeth (DeBoer) Hansen.
He attended school at Elwood High School and graduated with the Class of 1942. In 1943 he enlisted in the US Air Force and served during World War II in England with 390th Bomb brigade and flew 25 missions as a tail gunner on a B-17 airplane. In 1945, he was discharged and moved back to Elwood, Nebraska. On July 17, 1945, he married Inez Corder in Norton, Kansas. He would attend Tech School at Milford, Nebraska and become licensed as Heating & Air Conditioning Technician. They would move to Boulder, Colorado and work for Dow Chemical for a few years. He would then start and run Boulder Refrigeration for the next 40 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife: Inez Hansen of Boulder, Colorado

Dorothy & husband Ernest Fiene of Elwood, Nebraska
Lola & husband Bill Debban of Elwood, Nebraska

Funeral services will be Friday, January 25, at 10 AM at Elwood Funeral Home at Elwood, NE with Donald Hansen, officiating. Burial will be at the Elwood Cemetery, Elwood, Nebraska. Elwood Funeral Home, of Elwood, Nebraska is in charge of the arrangements.
